Guitar wizard Timo Kämäräinen, known from various collaborations, has formed a new band with jazz scene veterans pianist Alexi Tuomarila and drummer Tuomas Timonen. D.O.P.A. released their debut single, “Laertes In Love,” on March 15, 2024. The band’s bold style reveals influences from rock, jazz, prog, and electropop, reflecting the diverse backgrounds of its members. “We’ve really enjoyed all kinds of music. This is just the kind of music we’d like to hear ourselves and that gets the energy moving at live shows,” Kämäräinen reflects.
