Gada is a Helsinki-based artist and poet, whose songs include the love of rap music. Gada’s love for old school rap was ignited at the age of 10 and hasn’t faded since. Inspired by the work of Tupac, Rihanna and Bob Marley, the artist says she fell in love with rap’s confidence, aggression, style and power.
Eventually, rapping over Tupac’s songs gave way to writing her own lyrics and eventually releasing songs independently. The artist’s debut EP, Piilevä ruusu, released in July, is a five-song collection of strong lyrical production with personal storytelling that leans heavily towards old school rap. Kingfish is featured on the song Gangstalapsi, the single from the EP released by Sony.
