Channeling the psychedelic rock and funk of the ’60s and ’70s, Grande Mahogany’s wah-filled world feels like something ripped from another time and place. Behind it all is Jesse Essel, who grew up in Turku and Manchester, England, and now lives in Helsinki.
Grande Mahogany released his debut EP in 2019, which received praising reviews. Since then the artist has released several singles, most recently Thundercurls in July.
