His platinum-selling single Huone shot to No. 3 on Spotify and became one of the biggest hits of the new year, earning him a spot on YleX’s Breakthrough list.
His success continued into the spring, with highly praised club performances and single releases. Jaakko Kulta’s appeal was further demonstrated by his May single Norjalaista puuta, which sparked the year’s biggest domestic TikTok trend and became Spotify’s third most-streamed track. These releases led up to his June EP Jotta muistaisin, featuring relatable and captivating songs like Päiväkirja and Vielä on Kylmä.
Originally starting his diverse musical career as a producer, Jaakko Kulta transitioned into creating his own music from soundscapes to lyrics. Known for his powerful live performances, Jaakko Kulta played shows at venues like Ääniwalli and Kuudes Linja last year. Now, with his band-driven live setup, he has begun more active touring and made his festival debut at Ruisrock in summer 2024.
