SaintPolis’s mission is to create a musical bridge between Finland and mythical America. Their debut album Gears of the Heart Change blends influences drawn from the roots of americana and alt-country into a stylish piece of work. SaintPolis, which has risen quickly from Tampere to the forefront of Finnish americana, released its first full-length album early this year.
“The soundtrack of our musical home can be found in the direction of Wilco, Jayhawks and Tom Petty. Perhaps the best way to sum up our music is that the guitar strums, the stems throb and the melody is king,” says Tomi Korhonen, the band’s lead singer and guitarist.
