For Jenni Kinnunen, the electric guitar is more than just an instrument. In the hands of the lead vocalist and composer of Tinyhawk & Bizzarro, the guitar becomes a rocket ship - a gateway into a world where imagination dances freely and without restraint.

Their bold and fresh take on guitar instrumental music has not gone unnoticed. Tinyhawk & Bizzarro’s debut “Nekorok” was warmly received by leading figures in the Finnish music media in the fall of 2023. Ilkka Mattila of Helsingin Sanomat wrote that “the band’s debut album Nekorok sounds like a fresh breeze blowing the dust off Finnish electric guitar music stored safely in the attic.” Susanna Vainiola of Yleisradio was captivated by “stories told through guitar.” Arttu Seppänen described the debut in Keskisuomalainen as “one of this fall’s most delightful domestic releases.”

In January 2024, Tinyhawk & Bizzarro was awarded “Newcomer of the Year” at the Indie Awards, and in April 2024, they won the prestigious Teosto Prize. Their new album “Neko-A-Sekoi” will see the light of day in September 2025, released by the excellent Humu Records.
