Von Pearl is the debut solo artist project of Helmi Tikkanen, previously of dream pop band Karina. Karina, a respected band that has toured extensively in Europe, was nominated for the Nordic Music Prize and went on hiatus in 2022.
Tikkanen, who has been living in Tokyo for the past year, has released two singles and videos from her debut album titled Precious, which is set to be released on September 29th. Here was released in May, and the second single Android (feat. SITOI) was released in August.
Tikkanen has composed and written all the songs on the album, and she has also arranged and produced them in collaboration with AHO (Matti Ahopelto).
